December Vacation

We went on a cruise last week.  It was wonderful.  They were having an unusual cold snap so temps were going down in the low 50's and Highs were 68 most of the trip.

The biggest hiccup was baby girl's health.  She got on the ship and 5 minutes later her fever spikes.  We lay down for a nap.  She wakes up fever free and ready to party.  I just assumed it was the virus that her friend had.  His went away super fast and stayed better.

The first day was a sea day.  The kids braved the cold weather to water slide and hot tub.  Hubby and I read our books while we watched.  Baby girl's health was great until bedtime and then spiked. 

The kids begged to go to kids club and they played and got their faces painted.  They even stayed up there for the formal dinner because they made friends.

The next day, with the cold weather, we decided to take a two hour drive out to Uxmal. The ruins were far better than the ones we saw last time we were in Progresso.  We climbed to the very tip top of one of them. It was a scary climb down but we had to do it!

If you look behind the kids, the bumped out slope is steps.  You can see how steep it is and how tiny the steps actually were.

The next day we were thankful that the weather man was wrong.  It was a windy day so the ship cancled all water activities ashore.  We went to an all inclusive beach.  It was beautiful.  The kids played and baby boy made friends.  We left with an empty bottle of sunscreen and Mommy's legs burnt in spots.

There after we just left the camera behind.  We had so much fun except that once a day baby girl's temp would spike.

We then drove home and avoided a huge accident. A bouncing, detached tire, aimed at me with two very close gas carrying 18 wheelers is never good.

We feel really blessed though to get to go.  We are also greatful that are car made it there and back, 1000 miles, and didn't break down.  Then the transmission went out Saturday.
