Reading is fun!

I have a love for books.  I love the moment when you first crack open a book that has never been open.  The crispness of the pages and the smell of fresh print are intoxicating.

This week was book fair for my children's school. My children LOVE book fair time. They make wish lists and browse the isles of books.  We do our best to encourage their love. I volunteer my time so that they can see that this event is important.

This week has been fun.  Baby Boy, who loves games, as been begging for reading togeather every night.  He wants to cuddle up to me and listen until my voice is worn out.  He pages though the books and reads what he can on his own.

Baby girl goes to her room to read for fifteen min before bed.  She has enjoyed her new books too.  She was litterally waiting at the door for me to bring the bag of books in yesterday.

Reading is fun!

I am the same way! I think one of the best gifts we can give our children is a love of reading. My parents gave that gift to me and I've passed it along to my kids. And book fairs are wonderful! I worked the one at the boys' school this year and was thrilled at how many kids came and purchased books.

I agree! You know I don't dare start reading a novel during regular school evenings because I will sit up and read until I get to the end--which doesn't work out too well when the alarm clock rings at 5:30 the next morning.
