Surprise Surprise

We surprised the kids with with a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge for a few days. It was completely a suprise. We told them we were going for a drive to find how many trees with flowers we could spot. They were bored with-in minutes.

The park was fun and exhausting. We are super worn out. We had lunch with our Aunt Leatha and mostly swam.

One excitement that the park offered was a "Wizard Quest". It had wands that you went on a hunt for wizard objects. Talking trees, howling wolfs, and spell books were a few of the fun things we found. If we were not in the water we were going up and down the stairs for hours on this scavenger hunt. My kids are now Master Magi.

We were so busy I don't have any pictures of us doing anything at the park.

Dog-gone good time

We had a fun visitor last weekend. Our friend's dog stayed with us. She was so sweet and affectionate.

We laughed because our dog got a little jealous at first. She played with toys that "Santa" brought her for Christmas. She has never touched those toys but suddenly they are fun.

Then after a couple of hours they had fun. This photo is of them playing. We loved having the extra dog for a couple of days.

Donuts and dishes

As the Great Wizard said on The Wizard of Oz, "Ignore the mad behind the curtain" I say ignore the clutter on the counter.
The kids have been begging me to make donuts for them for a while. They wanted to learn how to make them. The woke me up in the excitement to get this done. (Mamma did not want to wake up but you do what ya gotta do) They had a fun time and made a big mess.
I love being able to do these kind of things for my children. It is fun to see them have new experiences in life.





After we were done with the donuts Baby Girl decided she wanted to help do the dishes. I know that one day it won't be fun but a chore. I had to document the volunteer moment.

Swim lessons

This is baby boy swimming from the board. Baby girl diving for rings. Baby girl jumped from the board and swam the length of the pool by herself. We didn't get a video of that but will get it next lesson.

Dance until dark

Our little town has an outdoor amphitheater. We went with some friends to see a beach boys cover band. We had a wonderful time.

Game day

My hubby had his birthday last week. He really wanted to go to a game. Last night we loaded up and went to the ball park. We had lower level seats. It was hot but then the wind picked up to cool us off.

Following the game was a firework show.

Recital time

Sorry the sound is off on the first video. Baby girl did a great job. The videos are of the dress rehearsal. They would not allow us to video or take pictures during the actual show tonight.
I didn't get very good photos of her in her jazz outfit. The ones I got were during blocking thus the hands crossed over the chest.
She did a wonderful job!

Birthday

Yesterday was hubby's 35th Birthday. We had a wonderful day that mostly consisted of eating.

He is one special man and I am happy to have him in my life. Happy Birthday sweetheart.
