Baby boy is sick

Baby boy has been running a fever since Saturday. Today is the first day that at 5 am he has not wondered into my room with a 103 fever. It was just a virus so we couldn't do anything but give him Motrin or Tylenol. The kids are going stir crazy. He still has a stuffy nose from allergy's but the fever has been down this morning, hopefully it will stay that way.

Question of the Day

Baby Girl and Baby boy were fighting over a bouncy ball they call "snow ball"
Baby Girl: Daddy, do you know any mommies and daddies that fight?
Daddy: yes
Baby Girl: Well you and mommy don't fight
Daddy: Some mommies and daddies fight, but your mommy and daddy don't. We don't always agree, but we don't fight.
Baby Girl: What do you mean you don't agree?
Daddy: It means we don't always think the same thing, but then we discuss it nicely, and we find a way to work it out.
Baby boy: Well sometimes people need to fight, when they want a snow ball.
You have been tracked.
Most of you know I have a tracker on this blog. What you may not know is I have two. One tells me who you are where you live (or work) and your ip address. It tells me how long your visit is and (for example if you click on the page and then click off right away, or if you stay and read what I wrote) The other tells me weather you are a new visitor or a regular. How often you vist and what page you used to enter my page and what page you used to exit my page.
I have always had a facination with statistics. I love to know ratios and counts. Hubby laughs at my obsession with numbers in this way. I check my stats for this page 3-4 times a day. I also have a meter on my myspace as well. I really don't know my reasoning behind my obsession, but its always there.
What are your obsessions?

What a week!!!!
Today completes a busy week. We have had swim lessons and music camp all week. I used the time to work out. I am exhausted from running all over time.
Tonight the kids had a program from their music camp. They were cute. Baby girl looked like she was going to fall asleep while she was singing. Baby boy looked ernest. The poor director looked like she was ready to run away. It looked like a "Lord of the Flies". Some of the kids used the show as an opportunity to pull off her hat, yank the mic off her ear, and to push and shove each other. My kids seemed a bit oblivious to it all.
Swim ended too. Their teachers said that they both were ready to advance to the next level of swim lessons. They are really proud of themselves. I am proud of them too!

Like a virgin
Sunday, I went to pick of my babies from the nursery. Baby girl said, "Mommy what is a virgin?" I paused and said, "what do you mean." She said, "well I want to know what a virgin is" I said, "where did you hear the word?" She said, " The teachers said it." I said, "How did they say it, in what way?" She said, " they said (baby boy) made his on virgin of the same picture."
Moral of the story, DON'T ANSWER YOUR KIDS QUESTIONS UNTIL YOU HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neigborhood party
Yesterday we had a neighborhood party. The kiddos had a great time. We ate, and had a hat parade, played with our friends, and swam (more splashed) Baby boy has now got the reputation in the neighborhood for being an exhibitionist. He managed to get stripped down to his underwear and tried to get those off. Daddy managed to rescue him from a life long embarrassing moment, in the nick of time. Later he was flirting with all the older ladies of the group.
Baby girl got sad because she didn't win a prize like brother for her hat. Sometimes its hard being a kid and learning lessons like you can't win everything.
We all perspired but had a marvelous time :)

Fog

I feel like I have been in a fog since Baby boy was born. I was living but not feeling connected to anything. I think when I had him my brain got off balance. I was in a slight depression. It wasn't enough that I noticed it a lot, but never the less, there. Back in January I decided to get on anti-depressants. They helped take away some of the anxiety, but seemed to be the wrong fit for me. I didn't try any new ones. I stayed on them for 3 months. I discontiuned my medication about the middle of April. They were actually causing more of a fog than less.
I would encourage you if you are feel fogyish, to talk with your doctor about natural ways that you can feel better. If you need meds, then I hope you do what you know is best for you.
Once I got off of them, I realized that was exactly what I needed to get over the hump. I feel fantastic. I haven't felt this good for a long time. I'm energetic, happy, want to go do things, and am enjoying my kids more. I can't describe how wonderful I feel.
Thanks to all my friends and family that have supported me though these time, that understood and held my hand, that never stopped loving me.

I feel that friends can tell each other the truth about depression. That its important to communicate with one another if we see failing health mental or otherwise. What do you think? Would you ever tell your friends if you saw them changing, into a fog?
xoxoxoxo,
Rebecca
