Yummy

We got home from school today and I had ingredients for the kids to make a pie. They were really excited and wanted to do it right away. I had gotten frozen strawberries, fresh Bing cherries, bananas, light cool whip, and pie crust. I had baked the crust before the kids got home. So they mixed the ingredients together (plus some vanilla) It made two pies, so we gave one away. They were so excited that when daddy got home they showed him the frozen pie. Then we had salad with grilled chicken for dinner.

Hunter: time for pie

mommy gets the pie and serves it. Hunter eats about 2/3 of his. I ask Courtney is she is done too.

Courtney: NO MOMMY. I NEVER GET PIE...I CAN EAT THIS ONE

Another day another Dime

Tonight is girls night with some of my James Blunt friends. One of them is going to be my roommate in Vegas. (anyone that wants to come is welcome)

Last night, I got out the flash cards. I bought them at the dollar spot in Target. It was interesting because I learned a lot. I thought Hunter did not know his colors at all, and seems to have them down great. I do think that he might be Green/brown Purple/blue color blind. He does not know his letters by sight yet. I used the numbers with Courtney, Hunter was counting. Courtney just started doing math. Figuring it in her head. Mommy if I had two ice cream cones and I added five pieces of candy I would have a total of 7 snacks. It surprised me that she knew addition and subtraction. I had played with her before this way, but she had never shown a propensity for numbers. Then hunter started trying to use one to one correlation. It was pretty cool. They were both really proud of themselves. :)

School Starts

School started for the kids this week. They both seemed to like school but came home tired. I had trouble falling asleep the night before, so I took that time to rest. Michael worked from home. He took the kids to school and I picked them up. They both came home and took a nap. Then they woke up and were grumpy for the rest of the night. They both took turns crying until bed time. It was not a fun day. I hope Tomorrow goes better!

to continue the last post

I walk into the living room because the phone rang. I walk into the kitchen and I see Hunter licking his fingers. I notice that they are really green. He says "mommy, I got this cake" He had taken some cake and a whole lot of icing.

Who knows best?

I am sitting on the floor ready to play. Hunter walks next to me and then turns his back so he is looking at the wall. He lifts his arm, hidden in is hand is crayon. He draws a green line on the wall and turns around and smiles at me. I tell him, "Hunter, NO, crayons are only for what?!?" He says, "Paper, sisis did it"

Courtney walks over and says, "Hunter I need to tell you something, MOMMY KNOWS EVERYTHING!"

Chropractor

Courtney and I went to the Chiropractor/Doctor today. She told me to start taking the DHA and vitamin C.

She told me that she thinks Courtney's sugar issues are due to the formula I supplemented while she was a baby. That Courtney had a allergic type reaction to it, so her body learned to cope with it, and this is how. She thinks that she can resolve the problem.

Hunter was jealous the whole visit, and was climbing on the table and getting into things but he is well :)

To bump some pictures....

Well I told someone I would post today so here is deep thoughts by Rebecca:

Have you ever noticed that people with dimples seem to have a bit of mischief. I mean one dimple a little sparkle in the eye, two dimples means you have a keen since of trouble, and if they have chin dimple as well as two---they are crazy silly and lots of fun.

I came up with this one night while not sleeping. :)

What do you think?
